These five exercises will help you define your essence, align with your future self, and consciously shape the person you want to be. By engaging in this self-reflective journey, you will gain a deeper understanding of "What Am I?" and create a more intentional, fulfilling, and connected life.
-
Exercise: Imagine you are standing in front of a magical mirror that reflects not just your appearance, but the true essence of who you are today. Describe what you see beyond the surface.
Guiding Prompts:
What qualities, strengths, and energies radiate from your reflection?
What emotions do you sense within yourself?
How do you present yourself to the world, and does that align with how you feel inside?
Is there anything missing or hidden that you wish to embrace more fully
Reflection: What does this mirror reveal about who you are right now? How can you bring more alignment between your inner and outer self?
-
Exercise: Imagine your future self five or ten years from now. Write a detailed description of this version of you—how you think, act, feel, and engage with life.
Guiding Prompts:
Where do you live, and what does your daily life look like?
What kind of work or purpose fulfills you?
How do you interact with others and the world around you?
What habits, beliefs, and actions have shaped you into this person
Reflection: What steps can you take today to start embodying this future version of yourself?
-
Exercise: Imagine that your identity is made up of four core elements: Earth (stability), Water (emotion), Fire (passion), and Air (thought). Write about how each of these elements shows up in your life and what they reveal about you.
Guiding Prompts:
Earth: What grounds you and provides you with a sense of stability?
Water: How do emotions shape your decisions and interactions?
Fire: What ignites your passion and drives your actions?
Air: How does your mind shape your perspective, creativity, and curiosity
Reflection: Which element is strongest in you? Which one needs more balance? How can you integrate all four elements to feel more whole and aligned?
-
Exercise: Think of your life as a book. You’ve written many chapters, but the next one is completely blank. Write the first page of your next chapter, describing who you are becoming and the experiences you want to create.
Guiding Prompts:
If today was the first page of a new chapter, how would you describe yourself?
What values guide your choices moving forward?
What do you need to release from past chapters in order to step into this new version of yourself?
How do you want to feel in your daily life, and what choices will help you embody that feeling
Reflection: What can you shift in your thoughts, habits, or surroundings right now to step into this new chapter with intention?
-
A compass always points north, guiding travelers even when they feel lost. Imagine you have an internal compass that always leads you toward the most balanced, grounded, and connected version of yourself. Write down the principles that make up your True North.
Guiding Prompts:
What values (kindness, growth, freedom, love, authenticity, etc.) are essential to who you are?
What non-negotiables guide your decisions? (e.g., "I always honor my word," "I prioritize inner peace.")
What practices and habits help you feel the most aligned with yourself?
What message or mantra would your True North whisper to you when you feel lost?
Reflection: How can you use your Personal Compass as a daily guide for making decisions, handling challenges, and creating the life you desire?
